And so far I haven’t had any tragic treadmill incidents…or would that be accidents? Either way, I’ve kept all my teeth in my mouth, no head crashes, no twisted ankles, no blood.

I love reading books and I love multi-tasking. I don’t care what anyone says about how you shouldn’t multi-task – that you need to focus on one thing at a time. For some tasks, OK, I’ll agree. But walking on the treadmill and reading from my ereader is awesome! Heck, there’s a little place on the treadmill MEANT to sit a book or ereader on it!
And I don’t jog on the treadmill. I walk – fast. So, safer, right?
I don’t try reading physical books…anymore. They are a pain to keep the book opened and on the correct page, they want to fall off the reading platform, and turning the pages is tricky.
Ereaders are a joy. Slide your finger over the touch screen or maybe press a tab on the side of the ereader and Presto! You’re on the next page! And the time walking on the treadmill sails by so fast! Many times I’ve continued walking beyond the amount of time I scheduled because I wanted to keep reading the story. So, I get a few minutes of EXTRA exercise. Score!

I spend 30 minutes on the treadmill. Depending on what routine or exercise program I’m involved in, I may walk 5 days a week on the treadmill. If the day’s workout already involves lots of jumping around and heart-pumping moves, then I might skip the treadmill.
When I went through the Focus T-25 Beachbody program, that was so incredibly intensive and calorie-blasting that there was no way in hell I was ALSO going to hop on the treadmill before or after that workout. And that program lasted 10 weeks. I kind of missed my treadmill and reading time during the duration of T-25!
Some people may choose to focus all their energy on just using the treadmill. Nothing else. And there isn’t anything wrong with that. At least they ARE exercising.
I look forward to hopping on the treadmill, too, because I know I get to spend at least 30 minutes reading the latest ebook I’m engrossed in! And doing something healthy for my body at the same time!
The main point: GET UP AND EXERCISE! Do something!
